The building is attributed to Sanmicheli, an eminent figure of civil architect in the Veneto of the 1500s.

The villa is characterized by a central entrance hall, that leads to the loggia on the lake front where shadows and lights follow one another harmoniously under the frescoes of the famous painter Alfredo Savini.
